The greenhouse for utopia.
Post-X Society isn’t a rigid institution but an eclectic workshop. We’re a transition incubator where initiatives take shape, grow and spread. We keep the outlines deliberately vague, but the outcomes are very concrete.
Our name says what we do
The X is a crossing: we build what comes next, and we tear down what holds us back. Those two movements cross each other.
The X has a second meaning too. We’re working towards a society that is post-capitalism, post-patriarchy, post-colonialism, post-reality, post-climate crisis, post-fear, and so on. No single fitting label for that society exists yet. That’s why we call it post-X society. As soon as we’ve found the label, we’ll change our name.
“Innovations that erode our rights don’t move us forward, they take us back in time. We need real progress.”

What we stand for
With everything that changes, we ask the power question first: who decides, who gets a say, who wins, who loses? We love action, complexity and hacking (working in a playful, open, accessible and verifiable way), and we back our work with evidence, not gut feeling.
For press and speaker requests
Journalists can come to us for insight on democracy and technology, disinformation, digital autonomy and societal transition. Pieter van Boheemen is also available to book as a speaker or moderator via despreker.nl.
